“Quarantine free travel will be safe to commence” were the words that both Australia and New Zealand residents have been longing to hear.
Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand’s Prime Minister announced today at a press conference the new Trans-Tasman travel bubble will commence on 19 April 2021.
This news comes as a much awaited relief to both Australia and New Zealand, since both countries’ borders have been closed just over a year, since 20 March 2020, due to COVID pandemic.
Whilst the NZ Prime Minister believes “this is an important step forward in our COVID response” and a “start to a new chapter”, she recommends travellers still prepare accordingly in case there is an outbreak.
So start your research travellers, where will you be travelling to in Australia and New Zealand?
